Grant Process

Before the Blaine & Preciosa Tamaki Foundation was created, the Co-Chairs have a history of donations to local and national charitable organizations, projects, and endeavors. The Foundation was created to centralize their grants moving forward through rounds of funding focused on giving back to the Yakima area and the state of Washington. This grant application process was created to provide a fair system for high-volume applicant processing.

If your organization is interested in applying for a grant, please complete the grant application below to stay updated on funding schedules. After a round of funding is determined and your grant request matches our funding priorities, we will add your organization for consideration.

Grant Process (Closed for 2025)

Trust-based philanthropy is more than funding the meaningful work nonprofits are doing, and the Foundation wants to strengthen existing partnerships to have a positive impact on the community. Over five years, the Foundation has more than 80 nonprofit partners and we want to focus on supporting the nonprofits that we work with. Given the capacity constraints of our small team, this limits our ability to introduce new partnerships and issue new grants, so we are not currently accepting unsolicited grant applications for 2025.

When the Foundation is ready to accept new grant applications, we will update this website and reopen the grant application.
