Our Impact
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Blaine & Preciosa Tamaki publicly launched the Blaine & Preciosa Tamaki Foundation in July 2020 to distribute $100,000 of immediate assistance to 16 nonprofits in the Yakima Valley as part of their Diversity Relief Aid. Since then, the Foundation completed seven rounds of funding and given over $1,350,000 to charitable organizations. Prior to the Foundation, Blaine & Preciosa have been philanthropists as individuals.
As part of the Foundation’s mission, we strive to exceed an annual payout of at least 15%, award unrestricted grants, and prioritize organizations serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. In 2024, the Foundation’s annual payout was 20%.
As an Asian-American led Foundation based in our hometown of Yakima, we are committed to our vision of promoting inclusion and justice in the Yakima Valley and Washington state.
